This is the age in which Blacksky stands today. The foundations remain unchanged. The Hall of Dread endures. The Archives endure. The Blackguard endure. Aternum endures. And the Imperium once again looks beyond its walls.

Historical Record​

No age lasts forever. Not even the Long Dormancy. Though generations had passed since the Fall of Romulus, the foundations of the Imperium had never truly disappeared. Beneath weathered stone and quiet roads, the institutions that once built Blacksky continued to endure.

The Hall of Dread remained. The Archives remained. The Blackguard remained. Aternum remained. What had been preserved could now be rebuilt. The first signs of change appeared gradually. New Chapters emerged where old ones had vanished. New leaders stepped forward to carry responsibilities once thought lost to history. Ancient doctrines were revisited. Forgotten lessons were remembered. Institutions that had spent generations preserving the Imperium once again found themselves helping to shape its future.

This became the Resurgence. Not a return to the Golden Age. Not an attempt to recreate the Age of Legions. The Imperium had learned too much to simply repeat the past. Instead, it began building upon it. The triumphs were remembered. The failures were remembered. The sacrifices were remembered. For the first time since the Fall of Romulus, the future no longer felt like something to fear. It felt like something worth pursuing. Across Aternum, signs of renewal appeared. The city remained weathered, but no longer stagnant. Its halls once again filled with purpose. Its institutions once again looked toward the generations that would follow. Its roads once again carried travelers moving toward destinations unknown. The Imperium had not forgotten the scars of previous ages. It carried them openly.Yet those scars no longer defined its future. They informed it. Guided it. Strengthened it. This is the age in which Blacksky stands today. An age of rebuilding. An age of renewal. An age of possibility.

Legacy​

The legacy of the Resurgence has not yet been written. Unlike the ages that came before it, this chapter of Imperial history remains unfinished. Its victories are still being earned. Its challenges are still being faced. Its future remains unknown.

What is known is this:

The Imperium endured.
The Hall of Dread endured.
The Archives endured.
The Blackguard endured.
Aternum endured.

And because they endured, a new generation was given the opportunity to build once more. The story of the Imperium continues. Its next age has yet to be named.
