The Hall of Dread is constructed around the Chamber of Emergence. The first true structure of Blacksky. The Hall becomes the center of all early activity. Everything that follows traces its origin back to this place.

Historical Record​

The construction of the Hall of Dread marked the first great undertaking of the Founders. Where the Chamber of Emergence represented a beginning, the Hall of Dread represented intention.

Built around the Chamber itself, the Hall became the first true structure of Blacksky and the earliest center of organized activity. Long before the rise of Aternum, before the Imperium Palace, and before the establishment of any district or institution, the Hall of Dread stood as the heart of a growing civilization. From this place, the earliest decisions were made. The first records would eventually be preserved. The first foundations of governance would begin to take shape. The first paths leading outward from the Chamber would be carved into stone.

Over time, the Hall expanded beyond a single chamber. Corridors, halls, vaults, and passageways were constructed around the original foundation, creating what would become the oldest surviving complex within the Imperium. Though many institutions would eventually rise above ground, their origins can be traced back to the Hall of Dread. The Archives would find their home within its depths. The Blackguard would later establish their Sanctum beyond its corridors. Even the foundations of Aternum itself would eventually be built above it. For this reason, the Hall of Dread is not remembered as a mere structure. It is remembered as the place from which Blacksky first began to endure.

Legacy​

The Hall of Dread transformed the earliest foundations of Blacksky into something lasting. Before the Hall, there was only the Chamber. After the Hall, there was a future. Every institution of the Imperium ultimately traces its lineage to the foundations established within these ancient halls.
